Sarah made this apron in about 45 minutes. Still amazed at what she can do with a sewing machine. Notice the apron pocket on the left. It matches the patern perfectly with the rest of the apron.

Here’s to my wife, Mrs. Shoo, suffering through two classes worth of term papers. Some bad, some good. I prefer the bad ones because she’ll read sections outloud. To the kid that mistakenly put “spring brake” instead of “spring break”… you get a big fail whale.

Sarah got an ‘A’ in her first grad class, that was not only a class that she should have taken towards the end of her program, but also got high remarks from her professor on her last paper annnnd her professor suggested it was possible that her paper could be published.

Now only 2 1/2 years to go!

Sarah and I went out to Site M, Jim Edgar Panther Creek State Park today. I’d been out there last week mountain biking and wanted to come back and take some pictures. We did a 5 mile hike around Drake Lake with the dogs.

The dogs were in heaven. Scents, grasshoppers, foreign poop. They had it all.

Mrs. Shoo has been making good use out of her sewing machine I gave her for Xmas. I’ve been impressed with what she’s put together. She’s put together several shirts and a skirt. I think she’s working on a tote bag right now. I’ll shoot a few pictures when she’s finished.

I can wire an outlet, but there’s no way I could sew a seam.

One from the archives. I went for another ride tonight and I had work to do afterwards. AND…. (pitty patrol watch out) I gotta be in at work aound 7am.

Calling it a night – early.

Man, what a great weekend. Got spend some time with the family and in-laws, went to a baseball game, put on a few pounds. I am not looking to getting up tomorrow and shaving off my week long scruff, almost visible in the photo.

This weekend we went up north to a wedding. Awesome time, now I just need another weekend to recover.

Mrs. Shoo told me that she went to lunch with her student council kids the other day. They were very disappointed with her because she did not bring Mr. Shoo along. What can I say, the kids love me and we take a pretty good picture together.

Mrs. Shoo got new glasses today. Doesn’t she look smartty (smart + pretty). I talked her out of some totally 80’s wide rim glasses -totally had to twist her arm to say no on the 80’s glasses. It’s good to have her seeing again. She was legally blind for the last six months. I just showed her the DVD of the wedding – she didn’t even know we were outside.
