It practically snowed all day today. I can’t want it to be spring any faster than now. Damn groundhog.

Today it reached up to the mid-70’s. The was also in rare form with clouds.

We took the dogs out to the dog park off of Wench road today. A little chilly, but a beautiful day. This farm butts up to the park. The cows starred us down like a bad accident.

Sarah and I went out to Site M, Jim Edgar Panther Creek State Park today. I’d been out there last week mountain biking and wanted to come back and take some pictures. We did a 5 mile hike around Drake Lake with the dogs.

The dogs were in heaven. Scents, grasshoppers, foreign poop. They had it all.

Clancy is a special dog. You can get the wrong opinion of him within the first five minutes. He’s hyper, wants attention, likes to put his extra long legs on you. Especially when they’re muddy.

He’s special.

But wait around for about fifteen minutes and he calms down and becomes a regular cuddle bug (as Mrs. Shoo would say). Lately after work he wants all the attention he can get. He’ll get in your face like to say, ‘hey, ummm, you’ve been gone all day pay attention to me.’ He’s notorious for rolling over Mrs. Shoo’s laptop keyboard.

Clancy also likes to be in the middle of everything, even in the morning while I am getting ready. He’ll plop his butt down just outside the bathroom and watch me brush my teeth. Never inside the bathroom. He’s had one too many baths.

Buddy on the other hand is independent. He likes to say his hello’s, get a little scratch, then he’s off to be the protector of the backyard. He’ll curl up with a warm body, but sometimes when he can’t get comfortable he’ll jet off to the loveseat by himself or will go hide behind the couch.

My parents mom’s dog is officially spoiled. She dropped her off tonight to run some errands. All three dogs got along just fine chasing eachother, playing, spooning till my mom came back to pick her up. Belle jumped right up in her lap. Buddy and Clancy tried to move in for attention, but each time Belle would snap at them.I threatened the water bottle after that and everyone was fine then.

You probably didn’t even notice, but gotshoo got moved to a new server tonight. Had to consolidate accounts. I told ’shoofan’ aka Berry that I was moving Gotshoo? and he about freaked out thinking the internet was going to shutdown.I told him not to worry as Rick Astley would calm his fears.

Still got to fix a few things, but let me know if you find anything that’s broke.

After years of a dogless childhood, my parents, more specifically my mom, got a dog today.

Her name is Belle and she’s a dachshund / basset mix. Just like Buddy but black and longer ears. I think my dad was going to blog about her, but I had to take down his blog and move it too (ed.gotshoo.com). He’s got more photos posted on Flickr.

My parents brought her over today and both Buddy & Clancy approve that she’s a great dog and my parents are having the empty nest syndrome.

I play a game with the dogs when they try to lick me. It’s called… how fast can you lick before I grab your tongue? It only takes me 2 or 3 times before I grab their tongue. It’s tormenting and hilarious at the same time. Yet, they keep on licking.

The inside of the card says, “Another birthday? How Exciting!”

A coworker bought a bunch of cards and wants random people/dogs to wish their sister a happy 40th. I think it’s hilarious, so I am sending a card from Buddy and Clancy. I am including the photo below in the card. I figure why not go all out on the dirty dog humor.

It’s not a federal offense for a dog to send a birthday card!?
