Gotshoo? - You're somewhat daily dose of Shoo.

DSC03197

Welcome to Gotshoo?, proudly serving the inter-tubes since 2000. Gotshoo? is the personal of Chris Scheufele, that's me. I live in Springfield, Illinois with my wife and two dogs, Buddy and Clancy. I work during the day as an IT consultant and play at night with a freelance company called After Hours Development, and put together cool projects like Spfldbloggers.com

When I am not tinkering with computers and code, I am taking pictures trying to keep up with my daily photo, or riding my bike, or playing with the dogs.

Lunch time nap.

Some days I envy my dogs. I came home for lunch today and let them inside. They both plopped down on the couches and started napping.

Hanging Out.

Buddy just started getting the hang of jumping up on the swing. Clancy hates for dear life. He shakes if his body is not touching another human being on the swing. Rather comical.

The water bottle is for when the dogs get unruly and start barking at other dogs, cats, walkers, animal life… ect.

Shooting my first wedding this afternoon. Wish me luck!

Thanks Dad for letting me borrow your gear. I think I am keeping the wide angle lens though. Too much fun!

Sarah had class tonight so me and the “boys” are in the basement. I’d say they were plenty comfy.

Return of the daily photo.

IMG_3503

Last year I started doing a daily photo on the blog. Sometime during the summer it disappeared. The blog has been pretty empty since then with the occasional post. I don’t know if you apologize for those type things on the intertubes, like it’s a blog faux paus if you completely abandon a popular feature, but sorry, blame Twitter.

Part of the reason I am starting a daily photo back up is that I’ve been asked to shoot a wedding in May. I need to get back in the swing of things as well as practice with different light settings inside and outdoors.

I was digging for a feature photo for the site. This is from back in December when Sarah was making a doggy coat for my parents’ dog. Clancy was the victim model. You can see his doggy soul crying from the inside from embarassment.

Fall is in swing.

Sarah and I went out to Site M, Jim Edgar Panther Creek State Park today. I’d been out there last week mountain biking and wanted to come back and take some pictures. We did a 5 mile hike around Drake Lake with the dogs.

The dogs were in heaven. Scents, grasshoppers, foreign poop. They had it all.

Clancy is a special dog. You can get the wrong opinion of him within the first five minutes. He’s hyper, wants attention, likes to put his extra long legs on you. Especially when they’re muddy.

He’s special.

But wait around for about fifteen minutes and he calms down and becomes a regular cuddle bug (as Mrs. Shoo would say). Lately after work he wants all the attention he can get. He’ll get in your face like to say, ‘hey, ummm, you’ve been gone all day pay attention to me.’ He’s notorious for rolling over Mrs. Shoo’s laptop keyboard.

Clancy also likes to be in the middle of everything, even in the morning while I am getting ready. He’ll plop his butt down just outside the bathroom and watch me brush my teeth. Never inside the bathroom. He’s had one too many baths.

Buddy on the other hand is independent. He likes to say his hello’s, get a little scratch, then he’s off to be the protector of the backyard. He’ll curl up with a warm body, but sometimes when he can’t get comfortable he’ll jet off to the loveseat by himself or will go hide behind the couch.

Dogs on toolbenches.

My dad is coming over this weekend to help with a wiring project. I thought I’d clean off the work bench. Dogs fit up there nicely now.
