The neighbor’s kids had a birthday party back in June. I am just now getting them online.
The set.
Your somewhat daily dose of Shoo.
Finally got the photos to convert (I shot all in RAW) to JPG. I really need to be in bed because tomorrow will be another long day. We’re having a blast!
This picture was taken at about 11,000 feet above sea level.
This was an akward pose and I took several shots of GTG before I got the settings just right and handed the camera off to GTG.
Just playing around…
If you couldn’t tell by the overwhelming amount of dog pictures, I’ve been getting into photography or at least trying. I’ve got the trade mags, the how-to tutorials, and ample amount of time invested in Flickr but mostly I’ve just been exploring with the camera to see what works best.
I finally bit the bullet and upgraded to a prosumer lens: Zoom Wide Angle-Telephoto EF 28-105mm f/3.5-4.5 II USM Autofocus Lens. UPS dropped it off today, I had taken a few shots not even five minutes of opening the box. I’m like a kid in a toy store when the UPS shows up; can’t even wait to get home to open the package. So far, my impression of the lens has been great. It has a little more weight to it and the auto focus is faster / quieter. Below my first shots from the camera.
This is my brother, David. He’s really not posing. I think I asked him his middle name or something. Perplexes him every time.
Of course this is Bud. Bud has been the subject of my photos so many times that he naturally poses.
Notice the conniving puppy in the background.
The ball hasn’t even been thrown and these two are ready to go.
Down the hall at work. My stash of diet Mountain Dew is as the end of the hall. Too far away.
Norman Rockwell had stopped by the house this weekend.
My big project for this weekend was to dig up and plant a garden.
The photo doesn’t do it justice, but there are three tomato plants, two green pepper plants, strawberries, asparagus, and a watermelon sprout. Most of the work was transplanting the grass to other areas in the back yard. I got some sun and a little workout. Ace Hardware store also made a small profit off me as I made over 5 trips to the store. Thankfully it is right around the corner.
GTG planted some flowers and herbs.
Bud spent the weekend working on his tan.
Clancy spent the weekend getting the piece of fuzz off his nose.
This is the fruit pizza GTG made to take over to my parents tonight. It was excellent!
I am beat.
Had to pull this one from the Flickr vault. Did not make it home for lunch today (Sorry Nattie).
Has everyone see the article about the city’s new Segways? Is Springfield that big that cops can’t ride a bike or walk?
Did anyone else have problems with the gnats this weekend? I took a ride to shoot some pictures of the sunset tonight; I could barely breathe they were so thick.
