We just got home from fireworks on Lake Springfield. It was a beautiful night for fireworks and taking photos of fireworks.
This is what standing in the dark while holding your dog looks like for twenty seconds.
There’s two guns for hire on my street. Thankfully I can pay them off in snacks and juice boxes.
This is Maddy our neighbor’s dog. She’s just a 7 month old boxer pup. She looks a little intimidating, but she’s like butter and will melt in your hands. I got to play with her a little today. Definitely a very smart and observant dog.
Clancy and Buddy also got to a smell check. They agreed that she’s a good neighbor.
I played a little pickup game with my cousin Ben tonight. The kid loves baseball and is a die-hard Cardinal fan. I teased him by naming our respective teams the St. Louis Chris’s and the Chicago Ben’s.
Such a fan of the game, he has having a birthday party at Springfield Sliders game, and on his birthday he and the family are going down to see a Cardinals game. He demanded that his name be up in lights on the scoreboard or it wouldn’t be a real birthday.
I wish I had more to blog about lately, but to tell you the truth everything has been on cruise control. Mrs. Shoo is enjoying her summer off and picking up a new hobby. I’ve been doing the normal computer stuff. Sometimes we get to catch an occasional ball game, but that’s about it.
I promise we’ll try to be more exciting.
There’s a reason why I have toted a camera along since the time of college keggers and weekend trips…

Man, what a great weekend. Got spend some time with the family and in-laws, went to a baseball game, put on a few pounds. I am not looking to getting up tomorrow and shaving off my week long scruff, almost visible in the photo.

My Dad and I - I think I am 8~9 here and the photo was taken at Cape Canaveral on a vacation in Florida. Notice the 35mm camera slung over his shoulder. Apple doesn’t far from the tree.
I think that might be a Delorian in the background.
