Owning two dogs and taking them to the vet ain’t cheap! Yet another recycled photo.

Watching dogs sleep can be rather amusing. They toss, they turn, they snore. And snore loud. For the last fifteen minutes I’ve watched Clancy move to five different positions. Right now he’s on the couch on his side with his butt up in the air and hind legs in the spread eagle position. This is why he is not allowed in the bed and is vanquished to the kitchen floor.
Bud is snoring up a storm right under the laptop. He loves to burrow. Another reason why he too is vanquished to the kitchen floor after things close up at the Shoo household.
The funniest thing has to be when they have ‘puppy dreams.’ Their whole bodies twitch, noses wiggle, and sometimes even a yelp. You have to wonder what they dream about; chasing small animals, doggie treats… bitches. Probably not so much on the last one as they were both snipped as puppies and really don’t have the ‘urges.’
Clancy yet again moved. He appeared as if he was trying to do the Soulja Boy dance. Well, it’s time for me to burrow in my bed.
Photo taken by Mrs. Shoo.
Sledding was super fun last night, but man do I feel like an old fart. Not much excitement around the Shoo household today. We stayed in and watched some of the Super Bowl; actually flipping back between the game and Myth Busters. I haven’t watched a drop of football all season and Mrs. Shoo reminded me that I don’t even like football.
Favorite Super Bowl commercial. The Justin Timberlake Pepsi commercial.
I got hit with a nasty stomach bug this weekend. Not fun at all when your wife can’t stand the sound of vomiting, and you have to tell her to go outside so you can make haste to the bathroom. No lie.
Stayed home from work today, but I am finally feeling better. Clancy was my shadow all day. It was as if I had neglected him for a month. It’s actually his nails that have been neglected. We bought some clippers this weekend, but the dog is deathly afraid of having his nails chopped off and we didn’t have much luck holding him down. I blame the one that is afraid of vomiting.

Mrs. Shoo loves to read and she will be taking full advantage of her three day weekend. I think she’s already finished off two books this weekend.
We watched entirely way too much America’s Next Top Model this weekend. Above Buddy is working on different angles and Clancy is working on keeping eye contact with the camera. They’ve started dieting and I swear I saw Clancy try to put his paw down his throat. It’s not good.
We hope Rock of Love II comes out soon.
10. The dog park.
There’s always one butt sniffer out of the group.
9. Watch your back.
Buddy is always available for food.
8. Floor inspector.
After 3 1/2 months of working on the floor, Bud finally gets to see what all the noise was about.
7. Oh Sandy.
This is Sandy our former neighbors dog. She was one of the brightest dogs I’ve met. Seriously. She used to welcome me in the morning and when I returned home from work.
There was a copy of this photo on our neighbors fridge and someone thought it was a postcard. How cool is that?
6. You would have felt bad.
You would have felt bad after seeing this photo if I didn’t tell you that Bud now teases the crap out of Clancy.
5. Checking in on you.
Someone told me that this was their favorite picture of the ‘boys.’ So this is for that someone.
4. The embrace.
This photo lacks in color depth and focus but it makes up with emotion. This is one of my favorites even though the composition is not perfect.
3. Just a pup.
You’d think this dog was on drugs, but he is a loyal companion.
2. Watching.
This is my favorite photo of Bud. I must have taken over a 1000 photos just of him this year.
1. Brothers.
It’s not easy to position two dogs like this. Hope you’ve enjoyed the photos over the year. There are more Best of 2007 photos on Flickr.
Finally did a loldog. You’d think I would have followed up on this meme a long time ago.
This dog loves his bones. Might have to do something with the snip-snip. He’ll chew a bone till it’s completely gone which is about a half hour. He’ll even whine to point of hyperventilating (thank you spell check on that last word) if Buddy takes his bone. It’s amusing and funny at the same time. It’s kind of like when the fat kid takes a toy from the skinny kid. BTW, Buddy is not fat, just big boned. God didn’t give him much clearance from the ground anyway. He makes up for that with his sturdiness.
Mrs. Shoo and I were kicking back watching tv the other night when Clancy yelped (yelped as in it scared the crap out of us) out with excitement and jumped to the floor to tackle an unclaimed bone. We looked at each other as if did that really happen?
Yup, dogs are never boring.
Seriously, the dogs want to know what you are getting them this year?
The photo above was edited turned into a master piece with a new add-on service in Flickr called Picnik. It’s a pretty cool service that lets you edit a photo in the browser through a Flash interface. It has basic features to fix red eye, change color / contrast, crop ex-girlfriends. Very cool stuff if you’re uploading a photo and the computer you’re working on doesn’t have some kind of graphics program.
Now if everyone could be a good photographer and fix all those beady red eyes.
Picnik also has fun Xmas stamps. See above how they add the Christmas cheer to the photo.
