The weekend is almost there… I can almost…
This week has been a busy and stressful one. Glad it’s almost over. Still haven’t gotten a chance to bust out the bike.
Springfieldians, the Mrs. and I will be out for the St. Patty’s parade come (predicted) snow or rain. Hope to see you out, and hope to not bring home another dog. We got Clancy after seeing him walked in the parade by the APL. Also the same parade we saw a woman smack a kid in the face.
Everybody loves a parade!
What else do you do in Metropolis? This was on the way to Nashville.

Blogging is lacking this week. I was reminded by Berry tonight that I hadn’t posted in a while. This is all I got M-B-R-Y. However, 2008 looks like it will not disappoint.

Playing around with the camera.
If you couldn’t tell by the overwhelming amount of dog pictures, I’ve been getting into photography or at least trying. I’ve got the trade mags, the how-to tutorials, and ample amount of time invested in Flickr but mostly I’ve just been exploring with the camera to see what works best.
I finally bit the bullet and upgraded to a prosumer lens: Zoom Wide Angle-Telephoto EF 28-105mm f/3.5-4.5 II USM Autofocus Lens. UPS dropped it off today, I had taken a few shots not even five minutes of opening the box. I’m like a kid in a toy store when the UPS shows up; can’t even wait to get home to open the package. So far, my impression of the lens has been great. It has a little more weight to it and the auto focus is faster / quieter. Below my first shots from the camera.
This is my brother, David. He’s really not posing. I think I asked him his middle name or something. Perplexes him every time.
Of course this is Bud. Bud has been the subject of my photos so many times that he naturally poses.

The ball hasn’t even been thrown and these two are ready to go.

Our neighbors can’t get enough of our barking dogs, so I am sending them pictures to put up on their refrigerators.

This picture freeks me out, but I like it. It looks like I photocopied Bud then colored him with a hi-lighter.
The dogs haven’t been featured for a while, so here you go (mom).
I am working on some “work-work” right now and the dogs are passed out as I slave away on the computer.
When we went to the APL we brought in a sample of the fabric from the chair in the picture, and requested our dogs be that color. Pretty good color match.

Today was a wonderful day to get out and enjoy the weather. GTG and I did some house cleaning, then we took the pup out for a drive and some relaxation. Headed out to the covered bridge near Auburn.
I actually opened up a window today. The house reached a roasting 72 degrees without the heat on.
Tomorrow the weather is suppose to be about the same. Can’t wait!
This is the reaction I got when I told Buddy he could not be the ring bearer. He was in this position all night.
