Archived puppy video.

Food time with the dogs. from gotshoo on Vimeo.

Found this gem of a video while going through the archives. We had only had Clancy a few weeks at this point. Hard to remember he was once a puppy.

Nostril Cleaning.

Obviously can’t take credit for this photo. My Dad (Big Daddy) took this one. I hear nostril cleanings are the latest craze in Japan.

Side note: Buddy has his head propped on my knee and is snoring away. It’s actually kind of amusing.

You really can’t separate these guys without one getting upset.

Good Buddy.

Today was an awesome day to play hooky! Ok, I told my boss that I was going to take off the afternoon if I was caught up on work. I still rebelled by not turning my ‘out of office’ email responder on. Ya, take that corporate America!

I didn’t take pictures of it, but I spent part of the afternoon removing a stump from the front yard that’s been sitting there for a year plus. It was from a tree that I cut down when I first moved into the house. Previous attempts at removing the stump had proved relentless, today though it came out like butter.

The mood at the houseĀ  tonight is somber and quiet. Mrs. Shoo is sound asleep. The dogs are passed out on opposite couches. And I’ve been going through some photography literature that my dad dropped of this evening; hence the inspiration for today’s dailyphoto.

Good night all.

Drink it up.

I know the photo above is Clancy but I’ve got a Buddy story.

Last night we had DVD’s that had to go back to the video store. (Yes, we Netflix but Mrs. Shoo has been going through the movies since she’s been home this week) I whispered to Buddy, “You wanna go for a ride?” For the next fifteen minutes he cried and cried while I taunted him by paying no attention and surfing the internet. Finally, I got up, and he was at my beck and call with his tail wagging at a hundred miles per hour.

On the ride to the store, I lowered the window all the way down so he could stick out his head and let his ears flop in the wind. Dude was in heaven.

Dudes.

Ever since Lebowski Fest Exhibition Experience, I’ve developed a habit of calling every noun in the book, dude. It irritates Mrs. Shoo all the time. We took a short walk tonight and the dogs were pulling really hard in the opposite direction to smell poop or some kind dead animal. I yell at the dogs, “Dudes! Cut it out!” Mrs. Shoo turns around and gives me the look ‘omg, I can’t believe you just uttered that sentence.’

Oh well. Dudes.

Beer drinking buddies.

Beer drinking buddies

One thing that my dad and dog have in common: Stag beer.

My dad has a strange fascination for Stag (AKA: Steak Taters And Gravy) beer; so does Buddy, but he’ll drink anything. It’s definitely not for the taste, could have something to do with the nostalgia or even the price, but he’s got cases of it at his house. Like a Y2K stock supply.

I have it in our fridge but it’s only for him, or people I don’t want drinking my good beer. Yup, this apple definitely fell far from the barley and hops tree.

King of the laundry pile.

Buddy and Clancy are not much to keep up on laundry.

Happy birthday from the dogs.

birthday card

The inside of the card says, “Another birthday? How Exciting!”

A coworker bought a bunch of cards and wants random people/dogs to wish their sister a happy 40th. I think it’s hilarious, so I am sending a card from Buddy and Clancy. I am including the photo below in the card. I figure why not go all out on the dirty dog humor.

Butt sniffer.

It’s not a federal offense for a dog to send a birthday card!?

Vet visit.

Owning two dogs and taking them to the vet ain’t cheap! Yet another recycled photo.

Comfortable.

Can get any more comfortable than this.

Duck, duck, goose.

IMG_7097

Buddy has a new thing for ducks. We’re putting him in duck detox next week…

We had some friends over this weekend and they commented on all the ducks in our living room. Five total. The back story is that Mrs. Shoo is dangerous with a gun, a gun that scans items to a wedding registry. She though she’d be sneaky and scan a random green duck. I saw herĀ  do it, but thought ‘whatever.. like anyone is going to buy a random green duck.’

Needless to say, Mrs. Shoo’s friends heard the story about the green duck and we ended up with five.

Death by stripes.

Buddy was my buddy during tonight’s American Idol. Mrs. Shoo cheated and looked online to see if Josiah made it to the top 24. I won’t spoil it here… but the dogs could have cared less.

In other news, it’s friggn’ cold out.

Beautiful day.

Finally a break from the crappy weather. We took the dogs out for a walk today and met up with Sadie and her owners.

Eye see you.

Sledding was super fun last night, but man do I feel like an old fart. Not much excitement around the Shoo household today. We stayed in and watched some of the Super Bowl; actually flipping back between the game and Myth Busters. I haven’t watched a drop of football all season and Mrs. Shoo reminded me that I don’t even like football.

Favorite Super Bowl commercial. The Justin Timberlake Pepsi commercial.
