If you haven’t checked out Humzoo, Dave Heinzel and Denny Deaton’s creation, you need to now. D&D are getting ready to release a video feature for Humzoo and it’s going to be really cool. I inadvertently hacked the Humzoo tubes the other day and got to play around before I told Dave and he fixed the ‘bug’ and fired Denny.

Anyway, I’ve been going through some of my digital video for inspiration and to see if I can put anything together. I found the video above while uploading a new one to vimeo.com. It’s been forever since I’ve shot any video. My main focus for the past year has been with my SLR.

Again, checkout Humzoo. It tastes like cake.

Yadi.

Yadi., originally uploaded by gotshoo.

Mrs. Shoo and I went to the Cards vs. Cubs game yesterday. It was a disappointing Cardinal loss, but we still had a great time. Minus the annoying drunk Cub female fan that tried to upgrade seats, was called out about it, and then proceeded to complain about being called out for the next 30 minutes.

I borrowed my Dad’s 70-300mm lens, got some great shots from the 300 level of Busch Stadium. I’ll upload the rest later on tonight.

Crazy tickets - baseball game tomorrow.

I’ve got a friend trying to unload really good (2) seatsĀ  to tomorrow’s game (Cards vs Rockies). Section 165 down the 3rd base line. The tickets are more than reasonably priced, but you’ll have to talk to them.

Email me at: gotshoo (AT) gmail Dizz-ot C0m for more info.

If I didn’t have two hungry puppies to feed, I’d be going to the game.

Chicago is my kind of town.

Chicago would be my kind of town if it were the home of the Cardinals and the rent was much much much cheaper. GTG and I had a wonderful time up north this past weekend enjoying baseball games, getting the real taste of Chicago, and drinking a Fat Tire or two. All except the part where we got peanuts thrown at us after the Cubs vs. Cardinals game. Could have been worse, I guess.

Ed and Amanda thanks for your hospitality and Nintendo Wii! The Wii is so cool! Ed, I am training up on tennis so next time we can have a real competition.

I’ve uploaded a few pictures from the trip Got to stop blogging late at night.

It was a perfect trip till I pulled out of the garage and “scuffed” GTG’s spankin’ brand new car’s bumper on the trim of the garage door. Her expression was almost as sad as taking the head off of a Barbie in front of a eight year old. Needless to say, I apologized a million times. Looking to get it fixed next week.

Pics from the trip have been uploaded.

Hey, beer man!

GTG and I made a voyage up north to hang out with Ed and Amanda and go to a Cards vs Cubs game at Wrigely Wrigley (thanks Amanda). We were suppose to come home Saturday night; we didn’t make it back till late this evening. We’re pooped, so this is the only photo I am going to upload tonight.

Beer Man

Crack of the bat.

Just Two Guys and The 26th Man have me wanting a cold brew and a foot long hot dog.

Update: Betsy just sent a link over of a guy who reviews ball parks. Here’s his review about Lanphier Field. Also, she has her own take on Lanphier Field. Side note: Betsy has worked at the Baseball Hall of Fame, Swing of the Quad Cities, and the Daytona Cubs. I consider her my personal expert on minor league baseball.

How about instead of taking off 10 mins of my drive to the I-72 on-ramp (see MacArthur extension), we use that money to build a new Springfield baseball stadium? LRS Field, Bunn Stadium? There are plenty of local companies for corporate sponsorship. I bet someone is just aching to flip the bill to plaster their sponsorship on score boards, souvenirs, and ball gloves.

Remember the TV 20 / Dr. Pepper gloves that they used to give out? I had mine for years and so did my neighbors.

Actually, let’s keep the MacArthur extension and still build a new stadium. I still think it is unbelievable that I’ll be able to get on the interstate from MacArthur.

Best example is O’brien Field in Peoria.

The 26th Man has it right:

In order to be financially viable, a team today needs things like luxury boxes and multiple concession stands, souvenir stands and bathrooms. Which is why Springfield needs a new stadium.

The guys are saying that the stadium should be built downtown. That sounds great, but where would you put it, and what would you tear down?

What if it were off the Hazel Dell frontage road near the 6th Street exit? Right about here.

If I only had the money.

SOOOOOOOoooOOOOOOooOO

I stole this from Taly’s Facebook.
