Not only does a great job of stealing socks, marking his territory - he can pick out music.
What he’s picked up in the last few weeks.
The Avett Brothers - The Gleam II: A six song release, like previous of The Gleam, I am still trying to get into this one. Slow and lyrical intense songs.
The Decemberists - Picaresque: Their release before The Crane Wife (one of my favorites). It has a lot of the elements from The Crane Wife which makes me appreciate that album even more, but I like it.
Devotchka - A Mad and Faithful Telling: These guys were at Lollapalooza and I didn’t get to catch their set. So far, this one is all over the place with different musical stylings. I just checked their Wikipedia, and it says they were once the band for a burlesque show.
Booka Shade - The Sun & the Neon Light: Saw these guys too at Lolla’. They’re German techno. Enough said.

Give Julian Velard a shot, and maybe No More Kings.
If nothing else, look at NMK’s video on YouTube for their video “Sweep the Leg”.
What’s your favorite Avett Brothers release? I’m looking to add more to my collection of one.
Emotionalism.
That’s the one I have. What’s your second favorite Avett album?
Four Thieves Gone
Picaresque. Good pick. That was my first Decemberists album, and it rocks. Crane wife was a great followup.
