Ok, maybe my tongue & cheek post was taken a little out of context and my wife is one heck of a wife when it comes to defending her husband, but things went a little overboard. Who knew a small blurb in a weekly tabloid could get so many people riled up? Actually… I did. This is what happened last time when the IT published a jab against those with web logs, play D&D, and live in their parents’ basement.
Turns out that quote came from no one other than one of the gaggle of nerds, BFS, at the baseball game. Knowing Dan and his humor, I could see him saying what was quoted in a very satirical manner.
I am just going to go ahead and apologize for everyone to the Illinois Times. And even suggest with as much response as they got from a negative blurb that they consider doing a feature on some of the local bloggers. I can’t say enough about how many talented people there are out there publishing to the net.

I still liked your rebuttal. And they did call us a gaggle of geeks. Don’t be totally contrite.
You’re a better man than I, Shoo. Although that naturally goes without saying.
I still say, f*ck IT, if for no other reason than just on principle. But I don’t want to make matters worse, so I’ll behave.
