The fireworks downtown may have not been the greatest, but the Motor Boat Club had a great show. Above are some of very first shots of fireworks with my SLR.
It took some practice, but I dialed into 800ISO, 3.5 sec exposure with a f/11. Of course I also used a tripod or everything would have been scribble lines.

Went w/ Mark down to Capital area Friday night to see fireworks— most lame show ever.
Shoo, these are very nice. I really liked the fourth one in the series, especially since it took me a while to figure out it wasn’t aerial. And then I saw the hand.
wow shoo-thanks for the fireworks! I cant get enough of these! Dont stop posting firework pictures!! If I could get married again-I would SO have a July 4th wedding!! Best idea! (married to Paul again of course-he’s the best)
