I could really use two Saturdays in a weekend; that’s still including a Sunday.
Saturday I spent the day manicuring the lawn, planting a garden, and turning over the compost pile. That left no time to catch up on laundry or any of the numerous other projects that need to be done around the house. And it never hits me till Sunday night that there’s still a bunch to do.
I made myself feel better tonight by throwing in a load of laundry and cleaning up the laundry area. So much better that I am blogging about it. It’s an accomplishment for a Sunday.
Now I am too the point where I’ve got a knot in my stomach about Monday. Mondays never fair well with me, even when I was in school I’d still had the same feelings about Mondays. I know everything will be okay, but I like to hold onto whatever is left of the weekend.
Even a Saturday-Sunday-Saturday weekend would work for me.

Dude, you have a compost pile? Share plz. Wife wants to start one, we currently just have a pile of dirt from some yardwork we did. We bought chicken wire + posts to enclose it, but haven’t yet. Do we need to? Should we just buy something to contain it?? I’m lost.
The premise is that you have a pile and let it sit and rot away into dirt. Mine right now is just a pile, but I have seen setups where people have pinned it up. Looks a little nicer.
Just remember to turn it over every 3-4 months to promote faster composting.
If you’re talking about mixing food waste in, then that’s a different story. We’ll occasionally throw some old vegetables back there but no food waste as it could attract creatures / our dogs.
I think Mondays should be against the law. Why hasn’t anyone ever made that a part of their political campaign?
Like you, I start thinking about and dreading Monday on Sunday. The best part of the weekend is the sleeping in part Zzzzz. No alarm clock, no agenda. Heaven!
Yea i really hate mondays and summers, so i opted for the work mondays and no summers job. boo yaaa!!!
Ahh…the life of a teacher.
I’ve got a total of nine days left…and three of those are finals, so I don’t actually have to do anything.
I agree with the Saturday-Saturday-Sunday model. I do all my work on saturdays too. Ah the life of a grown up.
I love weekdays and hate weekends. Everyone always wants to look at houses and make me miss my golf rounds. Damm home buyers. Ohh wait, that is how a get paid. I love home buyers!
