Mrs. Shoo woke me up last night about right after the quake hit. I am a deep sleeper, especially when I can’t sleep because there is a Deep Catch ‘best of’ marathon going on till 2 a.m. I thought nothing of the quake other than the bed was shaking. Which brings up the question, why would I think the bed shaking was normal?
Of course, Mrs. Shoo wakes right up and tells me that she thinks we had an earthquake. In a mid-awake slur, I tell her she’s crazy and to go back to bed.
Yup, I could have slept through the whole thing.

I heard nothing because that’s the time I’m submerged in subterranean bliss; mother on the other hand did. Little brother thought it was a dream.
Got an aftershock at 10:15. Mrs. Shoo txted me, “I don’t like it.”
I love it. Well, so long as it doesn’t cause major damage. It’s a change of pace from snow and ice and floods and tornadoes.
With the 4:37am earthquake my bed was moving all over and I thought that it was a ghost doing it. I thought, oh great I moved into a haunted apartment. Then I finally saw the news when I woke back up at 6:20am and realized that I wasn’t crazy.
