Mrs. Shoo received her order from Payless today. She was only suppose to order one pair but magically two showed up. Now how funny is that, sweetie? Of course her first request were for her shoes to be the daily photo. I can’t help but oblige as it something to take pictures of that aren’t dogs. I love my dogs, but sometimes it’s great when you don’t have to bribe the subject to stay still.
I really need to invest in some photography lights. My setup is completely jerry-rigged. My white backdrop is white construction paper. Then I point two halogen work lamps at the subject and a work light to add more light in the background. After that, I tweak the white levels in Photoshop. The white and green shoes were a little difficult, but I think it looks good for tonight’s purposes. All I could ask for, is that they become someone’s background.

The Black shoes are a classic style, the others are cute but… I presume, Dr. Suess? But then what do I know, my color scheme is restricted to gray, brown, blue and black.
They are not Dr. Seuss!! They’re adorable…and fun!! I can’t wait to be back on my feet so that I can wear them.
I like the, they look as if they should be worn Easter morning to church services.
Let’s give a compliment to the photographer; nice job with a simple light blub and construction paper.
Actually Dr Seuess was first thing that popped into thought for the green shoes– but with multi coloured spots.
Nice photos Shoo! Not bad for work lights. I’ve been there before for sure and it gets the job done even if you have to spend a little more time in Photoshop later.
I love when you take pictures of shoes.

I have to start by saying that I would totally buy and wear the green polka dot shoes. In fact I am heading to payless the next chance I get to buy myself a pair. Your wife has excellent and I must say stylish taste.
Ben completely outed me today as his mother on Humzoo. I thought I could casually ease my way into the blogging world under the radar but he was too quick to discover me. The funny thing is that THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT SHOO!! During the WICS interview on blogging (and feel free to replay it on Youtube) you said to Ben “Even your mother can visit”. Ha! That was invitation enough for me to check out your blog and the rest is history.
Leslie,
The green shoes are super-comfy and super-stylish. I recommend them to anyone. Although we couldn’t find them in the store…I had to order them online, and they were worth the shipping. Also, I gave Shoo such a hard time for that mother line in the interview…I guess I’ll have to eat crow now.
i think they are fantastic photos.
Thanks for the update on the shoes. I didn’t know Payless had a website. Very cool. Of course I’ll have to buy a dress to go with them and gee I’ll need a purse and makeup of course. I don’t believe I have a spring coat that quite matches. Hmmmmmm I believe I need to run to the mall.
