Welcome to Gotshoo?, proudly serving the inter-tubes since 2000. Gotshoo? is the personal of Chris Scheufele, that's me. I live in Springfield, Illinois with my wife and two dogs, Buddy and Clancy. I work during the day as an IT consultant and play at night with a freelance company called After Hours Development, and put together cool projects like Spfldbloggers.com


When I am not tinkering with computers and code, I am taking pictures trying to keep up with my daily photo, or riding my bike, or playing with the dogs.

Apple has just released a guided tour for Mac OS X Leopard. If you have an Apple, it looks like it’s worth the upgrade. But…. don’t you think that Apple is taking the black sweaters thing a little too far? Cultic? Heaven’s Gate-ish?

They’ve seriously made the whole OS act like iTunes.

Since I don’t have a Mac or the money to buy a new laptop, I will be downloading and trying out the new version of Ubuntu 7.10 (Gutsy Gibson). Let you know how it is.

    I know what you mean about not having the dough for the Apple or a new laptop. What I’d love is to be able to load up L-U 7.10 on my present box and run xp in a virtual os so I could have Lightroom and my other win apps, but not be bothered by all the underlying os probs while surfing, etc. I should try using the gimp. Someday. When I have time. Whenever that is. =)
