Get the news.

Question for everyone: Where and how do you get your news online?
Welcome to Gotshoo?, proudly serving the inter-tubes since 2000. Gotshoo? is the personal of Chris Scheufele, that's me. I live in Springfield, Illinois with my wife and two dogs, Buddy and Clancy. I work during the day as an IT consultant and play at night with a freelance company called After Hours Development, and put together cool projects like Spfldbloggers.com
When I am not tinkering with computers and code, I am taking pictures trying to keep up with my daily photo, or riding my bike, or playing with the dogs.
Question for everyone: Where and how do you get your news online?
Gotshoo.com of course
I’m a digger. And my CNN RSS spectrum on my mac screensaver.
Primary:
1. Blogs via RSS
2. SJ-R for local
I work for a media company, so I get my news there.
msn.com;msnbc.com;sj-r.com and my number 1: Peoplemagazine.com. The most important, of course.
1) SJ-R.com
2) CNN.com
3) Various RSS feeds
4) Fark
All online, of course
-CNN, MSNBC, Fark for national
-Post Dispatch, Tribune, SJ-R, BND and So. Illinoisan for regional/local
-ESPN, CNNSI for sports
I have my.yahoo set up with several areas of news headlines that I’m interested in. As much as I dislike several things about Yahoo, I love their customizeable pages.
I also check digg, but usually if it’s a big story, I’ve already heard about it on my.yahoo.
Oh and also I check out macrumors.com for all the latest speculation on upcoming Mac news.
So, random question of the day from Nattie… I recently became a Godparent to a baby boy. I want to start some kind of tradition, where every year on his bday and/or Christmas, I buy him something special, preferebly a keepsake of some sort, but I dunno what to buy for boys. Like my Godmother/Aunt bought me a bell every birthday, and it’s awesome cuz now I’ve got this great collection. But I don’t know what to get boys. The best I’ve come up with so far is savings bonds. Anyone else???????
I use iGoogle for all my RSS feeds. I have way to many to feeds to count. But for world news I go to Google News or CNN usually. Of course the Daily Show is the only place to get accurate world news though right?
For tech stuff I like digg.com, tuaw.com, macworld.com, macrumors.com, arstechnica.com, engadget.com, gizmodo.com and of course slash dot.
Nattie you should start a college fund for him.
Thanks everyone for the feedback, even you Jager. I am putting together a new web project and you’ll soon see why I was asking.

Nattie, What about something with trains on it? That way he has something he can physically see and not end up spending and never seeing again…
Sorry for my late response. I’ve been a bit busy lately.
Actually most of the news that I even care about comes from espn.com
Google.com – News Tab
Or the Yahoo front page
