The Illinois Times’ Best of Springfield poll is up and running again. This year I am not campaigning for the “best” again, I think I’ve punished you all with enough puppy pictures for not choosing me as the best last year. (Muhha-hah) Actually, in the last year I’ve enjoyed reading all the local blogs. They’re all like horseshoes but different meats / fillings. Man, I love horseshoes.

• Dissarranging Mine = THE OH (Original Horseshoe) with hamburger.
• daveheinzel.com = Animated dancing fries with melocream donut center and a large mountain dew
• Capitol Fax Blog = Pork with Blago cheese on two unnecessary plates- extra crispy because it’s way over due.
• Anon Communist = Replace the cheese with The Hill spaghetti sauce and pour over some cool band names and Cardinal red fries.
• Blevins = NSFW meat with hot sauce – no cheese.
• 11tHour = Replace the cheese with beer and add some satire.
• Just Two Guys = Pretty in Pink with hot tv 20 anchor fries (glutton free of course).
• 30? = Social commentary with Journey’s Don’t Stop Believing sauce.
• Honey & Quinine = Raman noodles with discounted cheese with a side of aeronautical poetry.
• BFS = Red Hat Lady leftovers. You get no horseshoe.
• Unpainted Huffhines = Documented movie references poured over a Friday link dump.

And if you’re a local Spfld blog and not up here, I am sorry because I am just about out of wit. I am computer nerd – what do you expect? This was a challenging assignment and I almost hit the delete button and posted another dog pic.

Trust me, I’ve read all of your blogs. Even the ones I question why I keep coming back to. You probably question why you keep coming back to this one.

So this year, I think we should all be the “Best of.”
