I just about LOL’d all over myself this afternoon about this comment (excerpt below) by ivote on the Capitol Fax Blog.
The Governor apparently does not understand that there are THREE branches of Government, and he does NOT control the legislative branch! If he’d spend as much time on being Governor as he does trying to running the legislature with his silly special sessions, he might have some successes to talk about. Instead, he has embarked on a very high stakes game of “chicken” and he’s going to lose. Madigan, Jones, Cross and Watson all know how to compromise so that everybody gets some of what they want. Blago knows only how to whine and threaten when he doesn’t get his way.
Who wants to take bets that the guv doesn’t show up for the fair this year because he’s ‘working hard on a budget’ – and not just any budget?

I love how we’re portrayed up north…excuse me while I go put in my falsies. I’m about to be interviewed about the Simpsons movie, and I don’t want to be seen without my teeth.
I think the problem is that the parking coordinator at the Capitol is mean and won’t let the Chicago stations park on the complex, so they have to wander around downtown Springfield looking for random people to interview, rather than asking those actually involved. Maybe that’s it. I dunno for sure though…

There is no way that Madigan and Jones are as bad as Blago. He just does not understand no matter what his title is Madigan is the most powerful person in Illinois politics. Blago is like a little kid who does not get his way. I am about to put the smack down on all of them so Cindy can actually get off work at a normal time.
It always comes back to that parking nazi…..
I’m just tired of the contest. Whip it out, see whose is bigger and get the budget finished.
