Pikes Peak

We drove all the way to the top. Pretty exciting since guard rails are nonexistant and a 1/3 of the road is a dirt and gravel mix.

I went to a summer camp there when I was a kid in proabably Junior High? At a place near Pikes Peak at about 11000 feet. Looked like that picture. It was always an awesome 2 weeks of the summer. Water temp of lakes like that in the summer is still only 50-60 degrees I think.

It’s fun following your posts from Springfield. Just about as fun as it is to be in class at school when the other classes are out at recess. You’re having too much fun and are missing out on all the craziness in Springfield. We have a Lochness Monster in the lake. Oh and we’re finished making the Simpsons video. And we still don’t have any mountains.

I’m related to the dude who discovered Pike’s Peak. My mom’s side of the family still has that last name. That’s my only claim to fame. Well, that and the autographed photo I have from the “I’ve fallen and I can’t get up” lady (who is now officially dead).
