After work on Friday I popped in the big blue store and picked up some new tunes.
Arcade Fire - Neon Bible. This is my favorite out of the three. Indie rock band meets Radio Head’s Kid A. A lot of God undertones in the music - hence the name of the album.

The Fratellis - Costello Music. I heard the Fratellis listening to an online radio station. This album is fun rock n’ roll. Rockabilly with not so much billy.

Artic Monkeys - Favourite Worst Nightmare. I can’t give this one a comparison yet. Good so far.

Omg… In March, for Spring Break, me and the Marching Band went to Ireland. Well, as any warm blooded college student would do, a group of us went clubbing.
We were at one club, and this song came on… the place EXPLODED. Everyone started cheering, and singing, and dancing. Us Americans had no clue what was going on. Well, later, we facebooked one of the friends we made at the club, cause we discovered that all of us had that song in our head.
Turns out, it’s Chelsea’s Dagger from the Fratellis. Since you have the album, I’m sure you’ve heard it. I love the song… I sing it constantly. And I’ve gotten other addicted to it
Looks like I got more from Ireland than just liver problems.

College One, thanks for commenting. Yes, I’ve heard the few times, but would have never thought that it was a major hit somewhere else in the world. Thanks for the info.
shoo-ster!
I like the spring picks…I have to say Neon Bible was a little bit of a let down for me…I’m not lovin’ it as much as Funeral..but it’s growing…I keep catching myself listening to No Cars Go and singing and dancing alot….so it’s growing on me.
And I’ve really been wanting to check out the Fratellis…now I just might!
