Chicago is my kind of town.

Chicago would be my kind of town if it were the home of the Cardinals and the rent was much much much cheaper. GTG and I had a wonderful time up north this past weekend enjoying baseball games, getting the real taste of Chicago, and drinking a Fat Tire or two. All except the part where we got peanuts thrown at us after the Cubs vs. Cardinals game. Could have been worse, I guess.

Ed and Amanda thanks for your hospitality and Nintendo Wii! The Wii is so cool! Ed, I am training up on tennis so next time we can have a real competition.

I’ve uploaded a few pictures from the trip Got to stop blogging late at night.

It was a perfect trip till I pulled out of the garage and “scuffed” GTG’s spankin’ brand new car’s bumper on the trim of the garage door. Her expression was almost as sad as taking the head off of a Barbie in front of a eight year old. Needless to say, I apologized a million times. Looking to get it fixed next week.

Pics from the trip have been uploaded.

Okay I have to ask (since am non-drinker)– what is a ‘fat tire’?

I’m telling you Shoo, when you bring that repaired car back, there’d better be a puppy, bigger engagement ring or a vicki’s secret shopping spree sitting in the passenger seat with you!!!!! :)

Okay. Was thinking it might have been a mixed drink not a beer.

Oooh…Shooey, go with Nattie!! That’s an excellent way of being forgiven for destroying my brand new car!!

Shoo you should take your car to Matt’s body shop. I bet that he can fix it easily.

Go Cubs! The cubs are going to Kick the cardinals *sses this weekend. If anyone is going to the game Saturday I will be the drunk guy in the front row next to Pujols yelling at him. If a ball comes anywhere near me I am falling on the field to get it. I need my one minute of fame on Sportscenter

I plan to see a repeat of last weekend…that would be lovely.

You get used to the rent thing, sadly. And salaries are higher to compensate, also.

Ugh. I’m so tired of the idiot fans. Watch the game and shut up, people. Seriously. I’m taking mace to Busch this weekend. And Luann. Between the two I should be spit/hair pull/stupidity free. I hope.

I did the car thing the day we moved. I cried forever. My dad fixed it pretty easily, so I’m sure it won’t be that bad for you guys, either.

I really will upload my pics later.

The Cardinal Fans are the worse

  11. 11 shoo

Like you (jager) should be pointing fingers.

Oh lord. Every team in the major leagues has jerkface fans. Except maybe the Pirates and Nationals, cause they have approx. 50 fans combined.

Unfortunately rivalries always bring the worst ones out, too.

  13. 13 Nattie

I must say I get heckled more in STL than I ever have in Chi-town. Therefore Cardinal fans must be much worse… he he… :)

  14. 14 shoo

    That’s funny…because I get heckled more in Chi-town…strange. :)

I think that the Cubs have the drunkest fans in baseaball so it is probably rough up there for Cardinal fans

Well….Chicago IS the #1 binge drinking city in the US….

Do you think the Wii is worth the money? It looks like so much fun but I have heard some negatives too. Apparently the graphics aren’t as good as the PS3 or Xbox 360 and a few other things that I can’t remember.

  18. 18 gtg

Very much so!! I don’t care about the graphics and all the tech. stuff…the thing is fun to play.

  19. 19 shoo

Denny, the graphics aren’t 1080p, but did you honestly play Super Mario Brothers for the awesome 16bit graphics?

The Wii is a lot of fun (besides the workout) especially for the price - 250 compared to 400 for a new Xbox 360.

  20. 20 amanda

PS3’s are even more than that…750ish.

I love the Wii. You have to get up and actually move, and you can play all the old Nintendo games.

That is why we want one. Actually it was Niki’s idea. Our 4 year anniversary is coming up and we both think fruit and flowers is a crappy anniversary gift. Of course that is the traditional gift.

The modern gift calls for an appliance… hmm. The Wii is a console of sorts which could probably be considered an appliance. Maybe an exercise appliance? Sweet… justified.
