Brainstorm.

Okay, I am ready to do a new podcast, but I do not know what direction to go with…

In the queue of ideas:

1. Mountain Biking with Shoo - Fade in’s and out’s of me riding by bike, killer 80’s music in the background, jumping some hills.. Maybe a crash or two. And helmets.
2. Nerd-alert! Windows Vista demoed for the masses.

3. Boy-o-Buddy - Montage of Buddy tearing things up and playing fetch. This is a given. These come periodically.
4. Springfield Nightlife - A look at downtown Springfield for those who don’t get out during the weekends.

5. Other.

Shoo, had to share this with you. St. Louis is now, officially, the most dangerous city in the United States. Topping even Detroit. Now that they have the right to “brag” about their big honor, I feel it will only get worse!!! :)

This article shows that no one expcept for the people in St Louis and a few idiots in Spfld care about the stupid Cardinals.

    IF you read the article:

Still, in an era of declining network ratings because of the spread of cable television, Fox was pleased it won prime time in all five nights among viewers 18-49

The media is biased to east coast teams anyway.

If you are trying to prelude that the Cubs will have a higher Nielsen rating if they make it to World Series; you are correct. Last time anyone watched the Cubs in the World Series on TV… the television was the size of a chest of drawers and you had to use tin foil to improve the reception. That was 1945 and the Nielsen ratings had not even been created yet.

Stop the Cardinal hating unless you can come up with an educated well thought out comment. The 2006 season is over.. What do you have for \’07?

Shoo, you go out on the weekends?

  5. 5 amanda

So Sutzer can’t hate, but Sterno can?

I call BS on that one.

For the zillionth last time, the Cardinals and the playoffs/world series-whatever don’t have anything to do with the Cubs. The Cubs weren’t playing.

St. Louis beat Detroit again, with the dangerous city survey….haha.

  6. 6 Nattie

Amanda- Good call! Never even thought about that! Well the STL should be proud of itself I suppose for bringing Detroit to it’s knee’s twice in one week. Wait. Was that a cardinal compliment? My bad. The sad thing about that article is, it doesn’t mention East STL or the surrounding areas (because they’re in Illinois) and those areas are the crime/murder capitals of our state! It’s just craziness I tell you! Anyways, go bears. Let’s focus our attentions elsewhere children.

Amanda, I am open to Cardinal criticism, but Sutzer crossed the line in a comment that I censored that basically stated something with the world series trophy that I would not repeat to young kids.

I am all about moving on.

    Go Bears!

  8. 8 amanda

Ah. Was not aware of the censored comment. But I still think Sterno was out of line as well. Crotchrotting cubs fans much?

The Bears are boring me too. And a possible Super Bowl…don’t even want to think about it. :)

Nattie was just trying to change the subject with talk of the bears. I can tell things are/were getting heated. I’m not gonna lie… I could care less about the cards or their trophy, but I am happy for people like Ed, Shoo, my Bro who act like they’ve waited their whole lives for this. They’ve had 1 weekend to celebrate, so I say they’re done. But Shoo didn’t do anything too over the top or crazy, so I definitely commend him for that… I’m just ready for another season. How ’bout some Illini basketball? We can get geared up for that…

That I am pumped for. My dad has all these tickets that I can’t make it down to go with though. :(

We got tix for the United Center game…this is the first year I will miss Braggin Rights too.

Ed and I are hoping that people will ditch their tickets in ebay so we can make it to an Ass. Hall game…he’s never been! (And that I find insane!)

  11. 11 Sterno

Great. So all of you people are, in one way or another, berating me for talking some smack (well-deserved smack, considering the cub fans’ posts on Shoo’s blog every season), and rubbing it in a bit when our team wins the championship?

Great. Throw your hateful glances my way. I don’t give a rat’s @$$. I’ve lived in Chicago long enough to know that Cub fans waste NO opportunities to goad Card fans on about anything, so I don’t have any remorse throwing salt in your cursed wound.

Go ILLINI, Go Bulls, Go Bears, and Go Stars.

That’s it. Ya don’t like it, bite me.
