I’ve been judging speech competitions and celebrating a World Series victory, so I haven’t had much time to blog. Yes, the Cardinals are now the World Series Champions. Which sounds weird because the only other country in the MLB is Canada. But alas, they are the World Series Champions.
It was great to see the Cardinals win it. I didn’t think they would go all the way, and the majority of the fans would have counted them out as well in September. They were truly the underdog that came out on top.
What’s different between 04′ and the 06′ World Series? Obviously a trophy, but the whole team was in it to win. Pitching with Suppan, Weaver, Carpenter. Batting with Eckstein, Molina, and Rolen.
It was great to see Eckstein get MVP and a brand new ZO5 Corvette. The back story on Eckstein is that during the 06′ season he was still driving his parents Ford Contour. The Vette would be his first real car!
I wish I could have been there, but it was great to see my team win it!

Great series. You think Detroit’s pitching staff may have been in the running for the MVP trophy as well? They made some fantastic fielding choices.
Oh, and to all of the stinky, crotchrotting cub fans?
NA NA NA NA NAAAHHHH NAHHHH!! 10-2? Fine. You can hold onto that little stat. We’ll just hold onto another World Series trophy.
You know…man…it’s been SO. FRIGGING. LONG since we had the honor of calling ourselves “world series champs”. I mean…24 years? Ouch. That’s a heckuva slump.
EAT IT!!!! EAT IT NOW! hehehehe
Sterno has apparently been drinking the haterade with Sutzer. We should lock them in a room and let them go at it, no one else really seems to care.
I was really hoping that Eckstein got the MVP. He did so much and was consistent too. AND he is the only player that I like on the Cardinals.
Apparently I am being sensored by Mr Shoo. I love all of the Cardinal players and fans, they are the best. I hope that Shoo will let this one slide through
