I am not much of a comic person. I think I bought a few during my tween years, but nothing more than that. The comic pictured to the side was one that my grandma bought for me at a flea market. Never knew much about it.
Googled it today to find out the brief history of Tarzan from Wikipedia. It looks like it is a part of the series that was produced from 1977-1979.
It looks like that this was the first issue of the series, but this site has a different issue in that place. The binding and cover page is in crappy condition but the rest of the pages are in fair to good condition. Anyone have an idea if it is worth anything?

It looks like you do have issue #1 of that Marvel series. If you take closer look at that Tarzan.com link you included, you’ll see your issue is the first regular issue. The three issues prior to that are considered “Annuals.” Marvel issues annuals with a lot of their comic book series. Basically, an annual is like a thicker, longer story that only comes out once a year. Your book looks to be the first of the regular series “Tarzan Lord of the Jungle.” Pretty cool. I don’t know if it’s worth anything, but it might be. You could take it to a comic shop and see what they say.

I just did a google search for marvel comics “tarzan lord of the jungle” value and found several copies of the issue you own selling for anywhere from .50 to $40.00, depending on the quality.

Thanks for your help. I did some searching and I found the issue, what looks like good condition, being sold for $30.

Shoo, you have the computer nerd thing completely mastered. I’m not sure you should delve into the sick world of comic book nerds too. Next thing we know, you’ll be carrying that thing around in bullet-proof glass, wearing nothing but a thong and changing GTG’s name to Jane. Don’t take it too far!!!!!!
Nattie, I assure you that I will not be divulging myself into the comic book world any time soon. Only laptops and wireless devices for this guy.
GTG doesn’t respond to Jane too well either- go fig.
Did someone say Comic Books?
Shoo, you’re geeky enough…could we cut out the comic book talk?? I’m scared.
And, K, you’ll be happy to know, I’ve updated twice…in one week even…or maybe within a couple weeks.
I can relate to comic books. Of all of the things to cut out…
