Obviously that’s not me in the picture. I didn’t even get to bike that much today.
I did laundry, waited for the cable man to fix the internet, bought new tubes and replace one on the bike, bought a book shelf, bought a fan to replace a noisy one in one my computers.
After that, I finally get out to the trail only to have my brother call me to ask if he join along. Turned around picked him up. The trails were wicked muddy. Lots of spinning out. Fell over once when I lost traction, but no glory bruises.
I had promised to make dinner for the roommate and girlfriend, so went and bought a big chicken and filled up the propane. About killed GTG with an undercooked chicken leg. I am blaming it on the gas grill. I think this is the year that I will invest in charcol.
Tastes much better.
So much for an easy day off.
When I get bored I have a game I play on MySpace, Name the Bar in the Pic. The goal is look through photos in profiles of local people and see if you can name the bar. As a retired veteran of the Springfield bar scene, it gives me joy when I spot friends and colleagues.

I was a little jealous of everyone that got Monday off, so tomorrow I am taking the day off. Yes a personal / mental health day. The best part - it’s going to be a whopping 48 degrees. Just warm enough for some bike riding. Nattie and K - keep the comments to yourself.

The creativity and engineering juices were flowing last night in the basement. Roommate Kyle was helping Steve build a new PC. Finally Steve can stop mooching. (J/k Steve) I was working on some ‘work-work’ and cleaning up my heap pile of mess. CD’s, files, tax records, documentation on how to take down the internet. Big mess.
In the process of trying to organize my big mess into something useful, I bought hanging file folders. The desk / cabinetry I have has rails for the hanging file folders. This I assumed was a standard size for all hanging file folders. So wrong.
The rails for the folders were about 4″ too wide. After comparing sizes I started putting away the folders and thinking of where my receipt was. Then I had the ingenious idea, “I HAVE TOOLS! I CAN FIX IT”
Side note: Any man without tools, is not a man.
I pulled out my jig-saw and made two notches 4″ closer. And faster than you could say “WHAM-BAM-THANK-YOU-MAM”, I had hanging files. Not to be confused with hanging chads.
And yes, you just read a whole blog entry about hanging files.
Found this randomly through Flickr. She is an angel with the logo of the brand of bike I ride, Specialized. Weird.
On an indirect side note, I rode the bike for a total 110 minutes over the weekend. Can’t wait for the warm weather!

Today is filled with excitement, so I thought I blog about it.

What are we doing today?
Clean. I’ve got laundry to fold, wash, dry… hang.. Hate laundry. I need to hire out Mom for awhile. A book or cross-stitch, some ice tea. Golden. Note-to-self: Put this plan in action.
Working out. GTG and I are going to the FitClub at 12 today. I have been such a fat kid lately. I was on the K track but crashed. Kickin’ it back into gear.
Moving. GTG needs a couched moved today. I’m working on getting dinner out of this one. Don’t tell her though, okay. Thanks.
Work. Taxes, side projects… Always got work.
This is very fitting since GTG’s students found her Myspace profile. She’s having to clean house. Something about K leaving very provocative comments on her pictures. Ironically, Demetri Martin, the guy doing the interview, his sister is good friends with Teddy (from Chi town). Teddy told me that he sat next to the Demetri at a wedding in December.
