Sun Tanning

Its 9:51 and I am about ready for bed. Today was just a long day, made even longer with shortness of sleep. I have been slacking on the blogage; I am sorry. Work and everyday life is kicking my butt. Its all worth it though. Maybe I’ll get up early and blog some of your up to date.

Good Night.

Sorry we kept you up late last night. Thanks for the brews.

I know something you can blog about! I just got in from hiking the Chilkoot trail which runs 33 miles from coastal rainforest in Alaska into the tundra and the boreal forest of Canada in three days!

I also was fortunate enough to spend the whole time without bumping into bears until the last day when I was finishing up the hike. I had three miles left to go and I was walking along the railroad tracks built into the mountain so I was pinned in by the mountainside and a steep drop-off. What do you know? Baby bear gets curious and then runs away. As if that wasn’t enough, a much larger black bear was just around the corner and decided that he didn’t want me to get past him so I, having nowhere else to go, had to watch him and follow him for an hour and a half. At one point, I almost made it past him when he climbed down the drop-off but he decided that wasn’t okay with him. He ran right up the mountain and stood no more than 30 feet right in front of my roommate and I. We didn’t even make it a quarter mile and a train came by so me and my roommate flagged the conductor down. He actually stopped the train and gave us a ride for the next three miles. Amazing! It was simply amazing! Oh yeah, it freaked me out a little too…

Sorry I haven’t been keeping up lately, but I’ve been keeping quite busy figuring out all the history and the trails and things. I do miss you all very much and I hope you all find some amazing way to enjoy your summer also. Ed…when are you coming to the great North?

In realation to S and M, does anyone know what a “safe word” is?

I’m out the door to rock out to DMB at the UMB bank pavillion. This kicks off their summer tour. I’m so friggin stoked! Wish me happy drinking…..

Safe word: a code word so the other person knows when to stop so they don’t hurt you.

Can I just say Dave Matthews rocks???? Oh, and so do the Cubbies…

Jessie, I was betting either you or Melissa would be the first to answer that question for me!

So Scott Rolen is on the DL right! Well, last night he was at the Dave Concert and my buddy Nick Cozzad was sitting right next to him for the whole concert. Now I am not a cardinals fan (GO CUBS) but that would have been cool to chill with Rolen.

That was so awesome. I couldn’t believe that! Sorry I missed your call babe, but we were all sacked out except McTaggart who was driving. I didn’t see your message until 2:30 or so, right before we fell asleep. Lake Petersburg sounded like a good time though!

Nattie- Ok, Melissa I could see. Why did you think I would know S & M terminology? I am beginning to worry that you have a skewed viewpoint of the real me. Oh, what’s going on with the All Man thing at the Vu on Sunday???
