I am at Starbucks now drinking my overly-priced mocha while on this overly-priced internet. Boy, I feel great. Caffiene such a good friend. Well, I took my baby… the truck… into the shop today. The flat I had fixed last week was leaking again so I took it back again.
Well me being the smart mechanic said to the grease monkey today, “Can you check the front suspension? Its making a popping sound.” I might as well as handed over my social security number, credit card (yes, I only have one - not counting the BB), mother’s madien name, ect.
They called me later on today, “Shoo (they actually used my real name), we fixed the tire but we have two other urgent things to fix.”
By the time they told me the grand total, I was ready to put a ‘For Sale’ sign on the truck and just start using only my bike. After thinking about it for the afternoon, I gave in and told them to fix the baby up. In reality, I knew that something was wrong with the front suspension, so it wasn’t a huge surprise. And the ‘grease monkeys’ are not really ‘grease monkeys’, they are really good mechanics that know how to spell my last name.
Never fails, just when I want to buy a new bike…. gah. Back to slaving away on the computer…

I’m so jealous. Merf gets to go to Wrigley, drink Mai Tai’s, and keep an eye on Buck to make sure he’s not evicted or arrested. We all know babysitting Buck is MY favorite past time. How dare they….. And, the cubs are playing Houston (Buck’s team), so this oughta be a good one!
So, we all stayed out of jail, and inside Wrigley Field. We went up the Chi-town and decided to be tourist for the day. We were going to go to Shedd’s Aquarium, but that was $23, and someone told us that the Field Museum was only $11, so we went there instead. But it was $12 to get in…The Nerve of Some People. But we also paid an andditional $7 for some underground expo, and it sucked we we should have gone to the aquarium, but oh well. We got the Wrigley and I was the only that had anything to drink. Just 1 Old Style and a couple of Mai-Tai’s of course. The game got over at 8:30 and we were in the King Pin parking lot at 11:31…HOW’S THAT FOR TIME FOR LEAVING A GAME IN CHICAGO…3 HOURS AND 1 MINUTE BABY!!!
Merf, invite me to the next cubby game so we can get all trunked up together. If David and Zach don’t drink at ball games, then we can definitely bring them as well so they can drive us home. You know if I were there, I would quadrupled the amount of old styles, and at least tripled the amount of mai tai’s…

Word Nattie…I want to set a new record this year at Wrigley! I want to drink 18 Mai-Tai’s During the game. That is 1 per half inning!! I think it can be done but I will need help to get out of the stadium!

I love chiefs games. I’m even sporting a chiefs key chain in my car… You know I’m down for that brotha… Not this week though. Dave concert in STL. We’re kicking off his summer tour! I know I’ll need time to recover from that!
All I know is that it is only about an hour to get up there and we could check some Thursday night games and get all sort of drizzzz-unked up. And after that we could go to the Boat and lose the money that we would have spent at a Major League game!!! god…I’m a thinker!!
We should get about 8 people and rent a limo and go to a game in style.

Rumor has it, a wet t-shirt contest is included. Anyone wants to go, they are more than welcome. I reckon we’ll have a pretty good time…
