Hand full of splinters.

The days seem like they go too quick anymore. The last two days I have been at work at 7 or a little after 7 and usually stay till about 4. Makes for a long day. I was in Sherman, Petersburg, and Chatham today. Driving around broke the day up. I see I am getting blasted for not updating enough.

Umm, ok here are the updates:

Went bike riding with Phil G on the trails near Lake Springfield on Monday evening. Philly is prone to something… Clumsyness, random acts of God, moving trees… Who know’s what this natural phenomen is? All I know, is that he cracks my shit up. We were crossing a creek where there was a 2×6 being used as a bridge. I crossed it fine. Philly… on the other hand; I happened to turn around at the right moment. As soon as I turned around his front tire was stuck in the mud with his back tire about 3′ in the air. Then in slow motion just like the old Bugs Bunny cartoons he fell swiftly into the mud. I was laughing so much, trying not to laugh as much, that I laughed even more.

That was fall number one. Phil has more accidents than teenager on a cell phone.

He was leading us up a knarly root covered hill. He changes gears at the moment he was pulling his front tire over a root. At that moment his chain busts off the gears. Once again in cartoon slow motion he peddles while holding a wheely all the while looking back at me as ‘ohh- this is going to hurt.’ That fall wasn’t as soft as the previous one of falling into the mud. But on a comical level; golden!

Now I can’t let Phil sound like a total clutz. I ended up scrapping up my left forearm after brushing off a tree. I also put my right hand down in bush full of thorns leaving me with a hand full of splinters. Kind of nasty, my hand is a little swollen.

Tonight I went riding with Mark. Tonight was the burn some fat night. There weren’t any falls but Mark kept me going till I felt I was going to throw a lung. Still felt good though.

My tush is hurting from all this bike riding.

WE GOT A GRILL. A slightly used FREE grill. I won’t even say ‘we’. It’s alllllll mine. I got to repair a few things on it, but I will be cooking up some masterpieces in no time soon! Thanks to Marky-Mark and his parents.

So there is your update!

You know, All this talk about bike riding in the woods kind of reminds me of the Qualifying Scenes in R.A.D. With Cru Jones. You know, when they are running a bunch of races to see who get to go to HELL TRACK!!! God that is a great movie!

Mitchell Goosen: Popeye, now there was a great man. Do you know why?

Wiley: He never joined the Hairclub For Men?

Mitchell Goosen: Wrong. Because his motto was: I am what I am. Do you think Popeye ever worried about what he wore just so he could get Olive Oil in the sack? I should say not, Dude. And do you know why?

    Wiley: He was gay?

Mitchell Goosen: Because he is what he is.

For those who don’t know about one of the other BEST MOVIES EVER…Here you go…

The plot is nothing special. Basically, Californian roller blade/ surfing ace, Mitchell Goosen (Shane McDermott) is sent to live with relatives in Ohio after his parents go to Australia for business. In his new surroundings Mitchell finds it hard to fit in, but his cousin Wiley (played by Seth Green) is there to help him along the way. Mitchell soon becomes involved in a relationship with Nikki (Brittney Powell) but things start to go sour when he gets in the bad books of the local high school tough guys, and worse still, Nikki’s big brother Jack.

Somewhere along the way, Mitchell wins over the support of those who had been hassling him and they team up to defeat a rival gang (The Preps) in an epic roller blade race (the film’s climax), which is basically what you spend the entire film waiting for. This final action sequence is great for Airborne, along with Seth Green who manages to add some humour to the film.

The epic roller blade race takes place on Devil’s Backbone. First team with 3 people over the line wins. Snake finishes first, along with 2 preps. Then Jack and Mitchell band together, kick Blade (the head prep’s) ass, and they roll in together to win the big battle. Great, great movie.

“La onda es mia.” The wave is mine…

Nattie…That is AWESOME. And the Head Prep’s name is Blain. Remember…”Catch a Stain Blain!!”
