That’s how you fix it.

Talked to Emily again tonight. She says to tell everyone “hi.” Says the town is nice and quiet. Four streets run North to South and 23 run East to West. She has her own bike. Loves biking around town. Hoping to get internet before the end of the week.

Before she left she was having problems with her fairly new Nikon N75. Nice real film camera. When we were in Chicago a few weeks ago she tried to load a new roll. Well it kept erroring out and rewinding the film back into the canister. She went through 5 different rolls before finally giving up. Just before she left we went to Best Buy to exchange it for another camera because it was under warranty. She got about one roll off before trying to load another one and then she had the same problem.

While talking to her tonight, I searched the web and found this discussion forum. Luckily this helped

Not sure if this will apply to you, but you might want to try the following. First, make sure there is no film in the cameara. Next, perform a midroll rewind. There’s a button on the camera that you have to push to do this (see the manual). It should reset the camera’s loading mechanism. It worked for me once. Please let us know if it works for you.

Finally got it to load the film correctly. She’ll upload pictures and soon as possible.

That is good to here that she is going to be doing well!

Shoo, the redesign is nice. I likes. That tunnel thing at the top of the page reminds me of the Bourne Supremecy, The Italian Job etc… All those movies are the same. Anyhoo… When you talk to Em again, tell her what up for me, and sorry I couldn’t kick it longer on Wednesday.
I’ve been feeling very old lately. And after Saturday night, I don’t think I’ll be out for quite some time. May 7th is mine and Kristine’s graduation party though, so everyone better be ready to par-tay!!!

Merf, here are the phone numbers for Posamist:

Varsity Club, Jerseyville, IL 618-498-7742. Owner’s name is Tony Vaughn. They have a band every Friday night.

They also might try the Loading Dock in Grafton, IL. It is an outside bar and they have bands every night in the summer. Their number is 618-786-3494. I think Trudy Allen is the manager.

Joy, are you the go-to-gal for hooking up the band? That’s really nice of you! Gotta love those Posamist road trips! And I love how you’re Joy (Em’s sister). That’s awesome.
If ya don’t mind, I might pass those numbers along to a guy I work with. He’s in a band from Decatur and they’re always looking for new gigs. They’re playing my grad. party…

  5. 5 shoo

I am sensing trips to Jerseyville and Grafton this summer.

  6. 6 Nattie

As long as roadtrips to Grafton and Jerseyville are as exciting as Beardstown and Bellevegas, then it’s on like donkey kong kids….

Shooey, as an FYI Dane will be back in town on Thursday. We’re kicking it with him downtown this coming Saturday. Maybe you can party some of those blues away brotha….

Thanks Joy!! I just emailed those numbers to Joe with the band. And what was up with you leaving last Wednesday night??

  8. 8 Nattie

I can’t wait until Merf’s pics from Saturday night get posted. Friggin hilarious. Flava Flave!

  9. 9 Joy (Em's sister)

Nattie, I just happen to know the owner of the Varsity Club and we hang out at the Loading Dock a lot in the summer. I don’t mind if you pass out those numbers. We need some new talent in the area. Also, if I just put Joy most of you wouldn’t know who I was.

Merf, I talked to Brent when we got back to the apartment and he couldn’t sleep and offered to come up and get me. Because he had to make an appearance at the office Thursday morn we would come home and drive back to the apartment Thursday afternoon and get the rest of Emily’s things then. I needed his help and an extra vehicle because she had so much crap plus he promised to take me shopping which he NEVER does. So I accepted.
P.S. He didn’t get off work until 11 p.m. Wed. That is why he couldn’t come and go out with us.

Shoo, Leah doesn’t know what to think of Sam (our dog). She is so funny. She follows Brent everywhere he goes. Typical woman going after the guys.

Joy…even though Em is not around, you know that you guys can come up to Springifled and Kick-it with us up here!!!

  11. 11 Joy (Em's sister)

Thanks Merf. Actually there is a power plant in Illiopolis that Brent rents scaffolding to and he has to go there in a couple of weeks. We will just have to make a stop on our way.

  12. 12 Merfe Lee

    IT’S ALL GOOD!

  13. 13 Nattie

Joy- Let us know when you’re headed our way so we can kick it! Merf and I have friends that live in Buffalo (very close to Illiopolis), so maybe we could all roll to Decatur or something some night, for something different?!?!?!

And, I was showing a girl at work pics from Merf’s bday party, and she wanted me to tell you that she LOVES your hair and that you and Emily looked very pretty that night. Thought I would pass that along…

  14. 14 Joy (Em's sister)

Nattie, sounds good I will let you know when I find out the exact date. I’m up for about anything.

Thanks for the hair comment. I would love to have straight hair. I have done about anything to get it straight and nothing works. So curly it is. Emily on the other hand has the jack-of-all-trades and can make hers straight about any time.

  15. 15 Merfe Lee

Em’s hair got me into trouble one night. I told her that I liked her hair better when it was straight. I have a grrrrrrr-8 picture of her, Erin and I from like last november and she had straight hair and it’s my favorite picture of us three. But she took as though I was saying that her hair sucks unless it’s straight! You women have a very wicked way way of turning things us men say around to your advantage!!!

    BOOOO you girls!!!

  16. 16 Merfe Lee

    I SAY BOOOOO!!

  17. 17 Merfe Lee

Hey Nattie…I hope you don’t mind but in my recap of this weekend’s events, I kind of told everyone on http://www.merf.gotshoo.com that we had to stop twice so you could…well…how do I put this??? Evacuate your system!!

    ooops

  18. 18 Nattie

I don’t mind. No shame brotha. I probably would have felt much better had I done more evacuating, that’s for sure! I just owe you all big time for taking such good care of me. Especially Bucky Lee for helping me to bed and then leaving me in the middle of the night! Beardstown rules. No shame. Can’t wait to see the pics.

  19. 19 Merfe Lee

I do have some grrrrrr-8 pictures from Saturday night!!
